Changing Passwords

Changing Passwords in DM32

Because it transfers the Master database, the DM32 File Manager is passworded for security. It lets you establish an authorized user password list for each person allowed to upload new data between the Edit Station and Masters. Passwords for this function are stored on the workstation’s local hard disk drive. These passwords apply only to the current workstation, i.e. each station must have the DM32.exe file present and passwords set up.

  1. From the Database Transfer Utility window toolbar, select File>Password. A password window appears listing the existing users (if any).

  2. To Add a User: Click Add.

To Edit an Existing User: Click Edit.

To Delete the Selected User: Click Delete.

If you add or edit a user, a corresponding user window appears asking you to add or edit the user name and password.
